The songs

"You Reached The End Before Me" -This song is a tribute to you and your sister Bobbie.  Your wonderful book "Me and Sister Bobbie" was a large inspiration for this song. When I heard of your sister's passing, I felt so sorry for your loss.   I met her one time many years ago, and she was very kind to me.  I'll never forget that.

"Our Love Don't Live Here Anymore" -Your voice was in my head as I was writing this song. (I also think it would sound great as a duet with you and Dolly Parton)  I wrote it one weekend when I was staying up in a place called Pioneer Town (near Joshua Tree).  A couple weeks later, I drove back and shot this video footage of the area the song was written.

"The Whiskey Don't Work The Way That It Should" -This is another song I wrote with your voice and phrasing in mind.  I like to think of  this song as a follow up on what happened after "Whiskey River".

"You Put The Whore In Horrible" -If you record this song, you can change the line in the 2nd verse to "A moral compass is something that you need.  What kind of woman, smokes all my weed?"  I think this would be a fun song to do live, because I think the audience would sing along loudly on the choruses.
